The diversity of forest land ownership in Inland Empire represents a wide range of management objectives ranging from lands managed primarily for timber production to lands set aside for preservation and everything in between.
The Inland Empire Society of American Foresters is one of 33 societies forming the national Society of American Foresters (SAF). The Inland Empire Society is comprised of professional foresters and forestry students throughout northern Idaho and northeastern Washington. The Inland Empire Society is divided into three professional chapters and three student chapters. The three professional chapters include the Selkirk, the Panorama, and the Palouse-Snake River.
